The rated output provides two circuits to a maximum of 3500W which is 29 amps @ 120V but each individual circuit breaker is 13.5 amps for a total of 27 amps utilized at the 240V outlet.

The 5-20R outlet has a circuit connected to each plug to provide the 13.5 amps (1620W per side), to use the 240V L14-30 outlet the selector switch needs to be in the 240V position to supply both circuits to the outlet, otherwise only one leg of the L14 will be available for 120V use. Using the L14 to a small transfer switch would power about 4 circuits and if lightly load up to 6 circuits.

The manufacture also warns that switching from 120V to 240V that the main AC circuit breaker must be off to prevent damage to the generator.

In addition it has a 12V DC terminal for utilizing charging options for car batteries. It is not designed to take on sensitive equipment for charging without some precautions. The internal starting battery will charge when the generator is running.
